In 2016, Kelly Slater Wave Company (KSWC), joined the WSL as an innovative wave technology company. KSWC is the first to develop a formula that combines cutting-edge science, engineering, and design to create the longest, open-barrel, high-performance wave in existence.

Works under the supervision of the Surf Ranch Sous Chef and Kitchen Supervisor. The cook is responsible for assisting the culinary team on the execution and preparation of menu items, receiving and processing deliveries, cleaning, and supporting the culinary department as requested by Chefs, Hospitality management, and people leaders. The position is responsible for ensuring quality meals and service for Surf Ranch guests during their stay. Summary:
The EVS team ensures a professional and positive overall impression of the property by providing the necessary service of ensuring clean and comfortable shared use spaces across the site. EVS positively represents Surf Ranch through the daily cleaning of assigned space’s, back of house areas, and common areas as per the established standards of cleanliness and through interaction with guests.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Vacuums, sweeps, mops, and cleans flooring in common areas and employee spaces
- Scrubs, disinfects and deodorizes bathtubs / showers, toilets, wash basins, wastebaskets, tile and other bathroom and / or vanity fixtures and furnishings in the common areas and employee spaces.
- Dusts, brushes, polishes, cleans and vacuums furniture, glass, mirrors, curtains, framed pictures, appliances and other structural fixtures and furnishings in common areas and employee spaces
- Removes trash and debris from guests’ common areas and employee spaces

The Hospitality Server ensures that guests are comfortable and provide food and beverage service. To ensure the ranch house service is at a quality at all times while preserving a level of guest privacy. To complete all cleaning and preparation to ensure a smooth service at all times.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- To prepare and carry out food and beverage service to guests in a courteous and efficient manner. This includes offering service to guests, regularly checking the floor, this includes all ranch house, decks and surrounding areas.

The Surf Ranch Kitchen Supervisor must communicate frequently with the Sous Chef and Director of F&B in order to have a thorough understanding of the guests that are coming to visit Surf Ranch and be knowledgeable of any dietary or allergy restrictions. This position will assist the oversight of the day’s activities in the kitchen, educate and train personnel, assist in planning menus as needed and maintaining a kitchen culture in line with company core values.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

This is an exciting opportunity to own Ad Ops & Yield for a global League with a unique, digital-first approach to live sports. It offers value exposure to WSL’s sales and engineering teams, agency partners, programmatic and digital vendors, and live ops crew. This role reports directly into our SVP, Revenue Operations & Merchandise. The role sits in our WSL in El Segundo, CA- however we are open to a remote employee should the right candidate be located outside of Los Angeles.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Digital Ad Traffic
- End to end ad traffic including line item setup and QA in Google Ad Manager (GAM) for both livestreams and on-demand content
- Night and weekends sometimes required
- Both display and video traffic included
- Experience with line item QA and troubleshooting; owns the QA process

Programmatic Sales Operations

An integral role within the World Surf League (WSL) Legal team, the Temporary Paralegal is responsible for supporting the Legal team. In this role, organization and attention to detail are key to ensuring efficiencies across the department, while innovative thinking is critical for driving initiatives forward. This role will report directly into the General Counsel.
Based on business priorities and team priorities, while in a hybrid working environment, the successful candidate should be based in Los Angeles, California. This role is preferred in-office (El Segundo), in a hybrid capacity.
This is a temporary position for 4- 6 months upon hire.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Work directly with internal clients to finalize legal documents, working with WSL templates and based on legal team parameters. Documents may include independent contractor agreements, athlete agreements, IP licenses, and event license agreements.
- Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing matters
- Manage corporate governance documents, maintain organizational charts, manage relationships with corporation service companies / registered agents
- Managing deal flow, document execution and management. Verifying signing authority

The overall safety and security of Surf Ranch is critical to the site, staff, and guests visiting Surf Ranch and the Site Safety Officer (SSO) will be responsible for this undertaking. Under the direct supervision of the Surf Ranch Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) Manager, the Site Safety Officer at Surf Ranch will work to keep Surf Ranch safe and secure at all times. This position will be responsible for all vehicles and patrons that arrive and depart Surf Ranch daily. The security of Surf Ranch is critical and can directly affect the overall guest experience. The Surf Ranch Site Safety Officer must have a thorough understanding of the Surf Ranch property lines and all entrances and exits on site. The Site Safety Officer must understand areas of the property that are less secure than others and to monitor those areas accordingly.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Interface with guests and employees as they enter Surf Ranch through the service and main entrances.

- Guard position will most likely be the first visual touchpoint upon guest arrival so friendliness, and good attitude are important per Surf Ranch ‘guest service trail’.
- Assist with overnight accommodation check in and out processes.
- Understand the Surf Ranch property lines, easements etc.
- Understand the Surf Ranch security/ emergency evacuation plan.
- Knowledge and understanding of facility locations.
Experience and Qualifications
- Ability to resolve conflict when necessary
- Ability to activate the 911 system and request local law enforcement if necessary
- Ability to work different hours of the day including overnight shifts
- Basic Security training
- Prior Security experience preferred
